On Thursday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m. CT, White Collar and Internal Investigations Daniel Collins will be a moderator of the "Concluding the Internal Investigation" panel for PLI’s Internal Investigations 2024 hybrid program. The panel will explore best practices for:
- reaching findings;
- approaching employment and employment decisions;
- selecting corrective actions/appropriate remediation;
- memorializing conclusions;
- determining whether to prepare a written report;
- deciding what to include in the report — details, facts versus legal conclusions;
- determining who gets to see the report and handling third-party requests; and
- deciding whether and how to self-report.
